Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration
Congress established the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) in 1992 to make substance use and mental disorder information, services, and research more accessible.
SAMHSA's mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on America's communities.
CYC received a Drug Free Communities Grant from SAMSHA every year from 2005 to 2015.
The Holiday Match Program The Stewart’s Holiday Match Program has now allocated over $28 million since the program’s inception 1986. Stewart’s credits the success of this program to their customers for their generous contributions, their dedicated shop partners who worked diligently to collect the funds, and to their media partners who helped spread the word throughout their many regions. All Stewart’s Holiday Match funds are used directly for children under 18 years of age in the geographic areas where their shops are located, and the money was raised.
Working in such partnerships, we believe we will make a better tomorrow by the actions we take today!
Lake Placid Classic
The Lake Placid Classic has been known for being a “runner’s race”. It is maintained as an affordable event that is organized by and for runners, to promote health and the community. With this in mind, almost all of your race entries and sponsorships are donated to local youth organizations that are dedicated to making a difference in the lives local young people. It’s why we run!
For the last few years, the race has supported CYC, a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and our efforts in helping to keep our local kids healthy in spirit, mind, and body.
